Water Pump

Water pumps should be selected for the required flow, delivery height and the water source. This category includes self-priming jet pumps, peripheral pumps and other models intended for approved household or utility-water applications. Compare motor horsepower, operating voltage, maximum head, flow curves, pipe connection sizes and the manufacturer’s recommended installation.

Before purchase, determine the suction lift, tank or supply position, pipe run and the pressure required at the outlets. A pump’s maximum-head figure is not its normal delivery at useful flow. Follow the manufacturer’s priming, electrical protection and dry-running precautions, and use compatible pressure controls and piping where needed.
