Miter Saw

Miter saws make controlled crosscuts and angle cuts in compatible materials when fitted with the correct blade. Compare models by blade diameter, cut capacity, miter and bevel adjustments, sliding mechanism and supplied fence or clamp. A sliding compound miter saw has different capacity and footprint requirements from a basic fixed-head design.

Before ordering, check the maximum width and thickness of the material you intend to cut, blade arbor size and suitable tooth count. Some models are designed for woodworking, while others specify aluminum cutting; do not assume one blade suits both. Follow the manufacturer’s guarding, dust collection and workpiece-support instructions.
