Description
Choose a drill for the job
The Bosch GSB 600 is sold as one tool unit. A corded impact drill to consider for wall fixings and everyday drilling in masonry, wood or metal. Match the drill mode and accessory to the surface before deciding what else to add to your order.
Verified model details
Bosch specifies a 600 W motor and a 1.5–13 mm chuck. Published drilling capacities are 13 mm in concrete or masonry, 10 mm in steel and 25 mm in wood. The GSB 600 is an impact drill; its chuck and mechanism are different from an SDS-plus rotary hammer.
Get the accessory fit right
Use a suitable masonry bit for masonry work, and switch to rotation-only drilling for wood or metal with the correct accessory. A straight-shank bit must fit within the chuck range; an SDS-plus bit is not a direct fit for this chuck. Keep the chuck key out of the chuck before starting. For screwdriving, match the bit tip to the screw and use controlled speed.
Confirm what comes with your unit
Confirm the supplied side grip, chuck key and packaging before dispatch. Drill bits, anchors, screws and a carrying case are not automatically included. Product artwork is a reference illustration, not a photograph of your reserved stock.
Before drilling a wall
Identify the wall material and check for concealed electrical cables and plumbing. Follow the tool manual, secure loose workpieces, control dust and use suitable eye and hearing protection. Heavy or overhead fixings require an appropriate anchor and substrate assessment; a drilled hole alone does not establish a safe load rating.
