Coverage and quantity
Boysen’s theoretical 4L figures are 25–30 m² as primer and 30–35 m² as topcoat. This is a 1L listing, so do not budget it as a 4L can. Calculated by dividing those figures by four: approximately 6.25–7.5 m² of primer or 7.5–8.75 m² of topcoat per 1L, per application. These are planning estimates at the specified film thickness, not guaranteed results.
Build the painting system
B701 is specified as the primer in the Permacoat system and can also provide a flat topcoat. Plan the primer and finishing coats separately; the same litre cannot be counted twice.
Before you order
Send wall height and width, openings, surface condition and the number of coats you intend to apply. Measure the walls themselves rather than using floor area alone. Include the paint code already on site if you are continuing a previous job. A roller, tray, edging brush, tape and preparation supplies can be added to your project list.
