Description

Bostik Rugby Original is a premium synthetic-rubber contact cement for strong, waterproof bonding. Suitable for materials such as rubber, leather, leatherette, canvas, foam, wood, tiles, glass and metal.

Planning a bonding job

This gallon-size Bostik Rugby Original contact cement may be suitable for larger upholstery, workshop and repair projects using manufacturer-approved substrates. Before buying, check the actual surface materials, whether the joint will face moisture or heat, and the working area. Contact adhesive normally requires carefully prepared surfaces and the correct application procedure.

Application and handling

Read the product label and current technical data sheet for spreading rate, flash-off time, joining pressure and full cure. Work with good ventilation, avoid flames or ignition sources where relevant, and use protective equipment specified by the maker. Test an inconspicuous area when compatibility or finish is uncertain.
