Choose a drill for the job

The Bosch GSR 120-LI is sold as one tool unit. A cordless drill driver for assembling furniture, driving screws and drilling wood, steel or plastics with the right accessory. It is a useful option when you need control over screwdriving and want to work away from a mains outlet.

Verified model details

Bosch specifies a two-speed gearbox, 20+1 settings and a 0.8–10 mm chuck, with 14/30 Nm soft/hard torque. This is the GSR drill driver, without a masonry hammer mode. A 12 V battery label alone does not establish battery or charger compatibility.

Get the accessory fit right

Use rotation drilling with a suitable wood or metal bit, or a screwdriver bit that matches the screw head. This drill driver is not a hammer drill for masonry. A straight-shank bit must fit within the chuck range; an SDS-plus bit is not a direct fit for this chuck. Keep the chuck key out of the chuck before starting. For screwdriving, match the bit tip to the screw and use controlled speed.

Confirm what comes with your unit

Bosch sells different GSR 120-LI packages. Our OS model code does not identify the exact kit suffix: ask us to confirm the battery count, capacity, charger and case supplied with the stocked unit. Before drilling a wall

Identify the wall material and check for concealed electrical cables and plumbing. Follow the tool manual, secure loose workpieces, control dust and use suitable eye and hearing protection. Heavy or overhead fixings require an appropriate anchor and substrate assessment; a drilled hole alone does not establish a safe load rating.
