Compare rotary and random-orbit models by pad diameter, operating speed, power source, weight and any variable-speed controls. Different polishing actions can produce different levels of correction and risk on painted or delicate surfaces.

Check backing plate and spindle compatibility before ordering pads, and verify whether a battery, charger or polishing accessories are included. Follow the compound manufacturer’s instructions, test a small inconspicuous area and avoid overheating the surface. Secure loose clothing, keep cables clear and use suitable eye and respiratory protection where required.
