Belt Sander

Belt sanders are designed for material removal and surface preparation with a continuously moving abrasive belt. Compare handheld models and combination belt-and-disc sanders by belt dimensions, motor power, speed settings and dust collection. The width and length of the abrasive belt must match the exact machine, even when two models look similar.

Choose the correct grit for rough shaping or fine preparation and verify tracking adjustments before sanding. Support and clamp the workpiece, especially when removing a large amount of material from timber. Use suitable dust extraction and eye protection, and disconnect power before replacing or tensioning a sanding belt.
