Measuring Tools

Measuring accessories and hand-held layout tools help check lengths, straightness and level alignment before cutting or installation. This smaller subcategory includes a Powerhouse long fiberglass tape and a magnetic aluminum level. Choose between them by the task, overall range, scale markings, measuring accuracy and whether a magnetic mounting surface is useful.

For long tapes, check the selected length and whether the reel and end fitting suit the working environment. For levels, verify the actual frame length, vial visibility and magnet strength on steel surfaces. Avoid impacts that can affect measuring accuracy, keep the working edge clean and compare measurements before making irreversible cuts.
