Floodlights and work lights help illuminate building exteriors, workshops and job sites. Compare fixed LED floodlights, rechargeable spotlights and cordless tool-system lights by lumen output, beam spread, color temperature, power source, mounting position and any stated ingress-protection rating. Higher wattage alone does not guarantee better coverage of a workspace.

For outdoor installation, confirm that the exact fixture is approved for exposure to rain and its mounting surface is suitable. Check supply voltage, driver requirements and whether an 18V cordless work light includes its battery and charger. Aim light to reduce glare toward drivers and neighbors. Electrical wiring should be installed safely by a qualified person where required.
