Hasps

Hasps provide a fastening point for compatible padlocks on cabinets, doors, gates or tool storage. Compare safety-hasp length, metal thickness, hinge arrangement, mounting hole positions and the clearance available for the chosen padlock shackle. A hasp and a padlock work together, so their sizes should be checked as a pair.

Before ordering, measure the door or panel and note whether the installation is indoors or exposed to weather. Use mounting screws or bolts suitable for the base material and the intended security level. Confirm that the swing of the hinge does not obstruct opening, and avoid treating a light-duty hasp as a rated high-security fitting.
