Identifying the correct brush
Makita CB-155A with part reference A-81256 is a replacement carbon-brush set for compatible brushed motors. The brush’s shape, lead arrangement, dimensions and contact surface must agree with the exact tool model and manufacturer service documentation. A carbon brush with a similar appearance may not be electrically or mechanically interchangeable.
Replacement considerations
Check your original part number and machine revision before ordering, especially where the manufacturer lists alternate service parts. Disconnect power or remove the battery before opening a tool. If there is sparking, overheating or abnormal wear, a qualified repair technician should check the motor and brush holders rather than assuming that new brushes alone will solve the fault.
