BOYSEN® Quick Drying Enamel is a fast-drying, alkyd-based paint that delivers exceptional durability and a tough, high-gloss finish. Designed for wood and metal surfaces, it provides superior hiding properties and a long-lasting, professional look.

Technical Specifications:

• Density: 1.11 kg/L (±0.05 kg/L)
• Theoretical Coverage: 30-35 sq. m. per 4L at 2.0-1.8 mils DFT (varies based on surface texture & porosity)
• Tinting:
  • Accepts BOYSEN® Oil Tinting Colors (max. ¼ Liter per 4L can)
  • Note: B-2319 Hansa Yellow & B-2315 Bulletin Red are for interior use only
• Thinning (Solvent-Based):
  • Thin with BOYSEN® Paint Thinner B-0340 (max. 1L per 4L can)
• Clean-up: BOYSEN® Paint Thinner B-0340
• Packaging Sizes:
  • ¼ Liter, 1 Liter, 4 Liters (16-Liter available for B-600 White)

Surface Preparation:

✔ For Wooden Surfaces:

• Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust & dirt.
• Hammer nails deep and apply putty.
• Sand rough wood until smooth, then dust off.
• For repainting: Remove loose, peeling, or flaking paint manually or with BOYSEN® Paint & Varnish Remover B-141.
• Wash the surface, remove all residue, and allow to dry.
• Prime with BOYSEN® Flatwall Enamel B-800 before applying the topcoat.

✔ For Metal Surfaces:

• Wipe surface with paint thinner to remove grease, oil, and wax.
• For new galvanized metal:
  • Apply 10% BOYSEN® Metal Etching Solution B-71 (1 part B-71 to 9 parts water).
  • Rinse with water and dry immediately.
  • (Galvanized surfaces exposed for 6+ months do not require etching.)
• For pre-painted galvanized surfaces (in good condition):
  • Lightly sand, wipe with a clean rag, and spot prime bare areas.
  • Remove loose paint before recoating.
• For corroded galvanized surfaces:
  • Remove rust by wire brushing.
  • Apply BOYSEN® Metal Etching Solution B-71 (let sit for 10-15 minutes).
  • Rinse and dry immediately, then apply primer.

Recommended Painting Schedule:

✅ For Wood:
1️⃣ Primer: BOYSEN® Flatwall Enamel B-800
2️⃣ Putty (if needed): BOYSEN® Plasolux Glazing Putty B-311
3️⃣ 2nd & 3rd Coats: BOYSEN® Quick Drying Enamel (any desired color)

✅ For Metal:
1️⃣ Primer: BOYSEN® Red Oxide Metal Primer B-310 or BOYSEN® Rust-Off™ B-330
2️⃣ 2nd & 3rd Coats: BOYSEN® Quick Drying Enamel (any desired color)
